FA Cup Betting Odds

The FA Cup is the oldest football competition in the world still being played and we've also examined how it compares with similar tournaments from Europe's other major leagues. For example, the average league finishing position for an FA Cup winner is fourth place, whereas in the Coupe de France it is eighth

FA Cup: Facts & Figures

The number of league and cup double winners in England this century is two, but that figure rises to 11 in Germany. The old Wembley stadium hosted FA Cup finals from 1923 until 2000 and, after six years in Cardiff, the new venue there has staged the decider since 2007, when Chelsea beat Manchester United in extra time. The Blues have the best record at the current ground, also obliging in 2009, 2010 and 2012, so this year's finalists have taken six of the 10 deciders here. Extra time was also needed when Arsenal edged out Hull in 2014 and when Manchester United came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 12 months ago, so plenty of punters like to bet on a draw in 90 minutes.

However, there hasn't been a penalty shoot-out at the new Wembley yet, with the last one coming when Liverpool broke West Ham hearts in Wales in 2006. When it comes to having a flutter on the first goalscorer there have been some big odds landed in recent times, with Palace substitute Jason Puncheon popping up to break the deadlock last year. Hull's James Chester and Ben Watson of Wigan are other notable outsiders who have caused an upset in this market. bwin has more than 100 betting options for customers to consider in order to spice up the big day for die-hard supporters of each competing team and neutral fans alike.

We've got all the latest news and views on the FA Cup final over on the Bwin blog, including betting tips from our editors and expert analysis from former Arsenal star Robert Pires.
